Russian national idea has gained a socialist tinge. It showed through faith, but without the religious mysticism. Triumph of a handful of oligarchs and demagogues? For the sake of “freedom” and “democracy” by American standards, as now in Iraq? Approximation of nato to the borders of the truncated Russia says that the cold war is not over, as it was and is an expression of U.S. imperial ambitions, is accused of the ussr, together with the Russian Empire. Is it time to drop the anti-Soviet propaganda cliche and antirussizma and gain a clear idea about the ideology of Russian Renaissance, the Renaissance in Russian culture, with the consciousness of Russian nation, ethnically and religiously diverse and unified? Awareness of the unity of the nation – is finding its history and culture in its highest achievements, attainment of the national idea. In the Soviet era, I know its definition, name, name.
This is Russia. This is more than the name of the country, as, for example, America, which refers to the United States. Russia, as a word in the song poetically embodies everything: the immense expanses of land and sky, and a great story, and culture, penetrated new humanism. Here, all poetry.
